Scope:

Law enforcement and criminal justice agencies are welcome to participate in the mobile data communications network (MDCN), a system that supports remote access to information available from the Department of Justice (DOJ) through the transaction information for management of enforcement (TIME) system. Each agency partnering with the State Patrol in using the MDCN must purchase and maintain equipment for the car, called "subscriber equipment." A typical installation includes a data mobile radio and antenna, a radio frequency modem, a ruggedized notebook computer, a docking station and client software.

Participating agencies may use the service provider list established by WisDOT for associated MDCN services. A copy of the solicitation and specifications used to establish this list is attached. Service providers desiring to be added to the list may complete the solicitation and specification documents and submit them to WisDOT per the directions enclosed therein.
