The State of Wisconsin has two contracts for video equipment, maintenance and training from which eligible customers may purchase. The scope of work for these contracts is provided to help customers decide which contract provides the equipment and services that are most appropriate based on the customer’s need. Direct ALL technical questions, inquiries and telecommunication policy matters regarding this contract to Carol Mothershead.

This is a statewide contract for compressed video conferencing equipment, accessories, maintenance, and software for Polycom and Tandberg brands. State agencies requiring two-way interactive video over the Public Switched Digital Network or the Public Internet must purchase from this contract. This contract provides a means for state agencies, including the University System, to acquire new systems as well as accessories, maintenance, and software for existing systems. Equipment and software will be purchased on an as needed basis.

Agencies using unmanaged BCN network bandwidth may elect to use this contract or contract 11-84086-701 -- Distance Learning Audio & Video Equipment.

SKC Communications is the contract holder for Polycom and Tandberg videoconferencing equipment. Agencies are encouraged to compare pricing between the brands. SKC is required to deliver equipment, provide training, and meet with purchasing agencies as requested everywhere within the state.

State agencies that purchase managed WAN service to be used for video must purchase video equipment the from the other state contract, which is the Distance Learning Classroom Audio and Video Equipment Installation, Maintenance and Training contract #11-84086-701 because the network provider is responsible for procuring and maintaining these BCN services.
