The medical supply contract has been expanded to include additional suppliers. Please note expiration dates of new contracts.

*******VENDOR’S SHIPPING POLICY******

FOB destination on orders of $50.00 or more on all stock Products located at the MMCAP Member Facility’s primary shipping branch in the United States. Freight charges will be added to emergency overnight shipments and stock Products where usage is in excess of 100% of communicated forecast which are required to be stock transferred or shipped overnight, and to any Product that is not stocked for the MMCAP Member Facility in their primary shipping branch. Manufacturer drop ship charges and FOB shipping point terms of distributed manufacturers will be assessed by Medline to the MMCAP Member Facility, together with all other applicable freight charges.

5). World Medical Government Solutions, LLC MMS12009:
June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2014(THREE – ONE YEAR EXTENSION OPTIONS)


All awarded vendors are made available to State of Wisconsin end users and each Agency (or end user) may decide if they wish to use all, some or only one of the awarded vendors. If you would wish to change vendors, utilize multiple vendors or would like to explore other options you would meet with the other awarded vendors to decide which direction you might wish to pursue. (contact information for the new vendors will be provided once all contracts are in place).

It should be noted since MMCAP has already come to agreement on two of the new contracts you may be contacted by the new vendors (Medline and World Medical Government Solutions… formally referred to as PSS World Medical). It is up to you to decide if you wish to meet with them, or wait until all the contracts are posted on VendorNet.

This is a prime vendor medical/surgical and related products contract. It has been made available by utilizing a contract bid and negotiated by the Minnesota Multi-State Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP). MMCAP is a free, voluntary, group purchasing organization operated and managed by the State of Minnesota. The State of Wisconsin is a member of MMCAP along with 46 other states who represent over a billion dollars in purchasing power. For more information on MMCAP go to MMCAP.org

The State’s membership in MMCAP makes all MMCAP contracts available to our agencies. The State currently utilizes a MMCAP contract for statewide mandatory purchasing of pharmaceuticals on State Contract number 15-26998-901. The distributor for the pharmaceuticals currently is Cardinal Health’s Pharmaceutical Distribution Division. For information on that contract please see:

The MMCAP medical supplies contract, which the State of Wisconsin is now utilizing as the mandatory statewide medical supplies contract, replaces the expired statewide medical supplies contract #15-47598-201. The vendor on the expired contract was Cardinal Health’s Medical Supply Division and the new MMCAP medical supplies contract vendor is McKesson.

The switchover to the new contract vendor, McKesson, from the expired contract vendor, Cardinal Health, was approved on 12/7/07 and has been completed as of 2/28/08. The State has finished switching all end-users from Cardinal Health to McKesson.

If you have not been contacted by McKesson and/or are not in some stage of switching over, please contact brad.bauman@wisconsin.gov 608-267-6922 to be placed on the schedule for a switch over to McKesson.

NOTE: UW Facilities that currently utilize the UW Hospital and Clinics Medical Supply Contract will not be required to switch over.

In order to purchase from the MMCAP Medical Supplies Contract with McKesson you must have filled out a MMCAP application and obtained an MMCAP number. If you already have an existing MMCAP number you do not need to fill out the application. A copy of the application is available below under attachments.
